Emilia A. Ottoo alias EMMA LEE M.C. has been earning recognition as a creative wildcard on the rise. A seasoned lyricist with a resume including production, digital media, nonprofit management and leading social change workshops, her Hip-Hop driven artistry has reached the likes of "Rap Is Outta Control" on SiriusXM/Shade 45, mADurgency Powered by Chuck D of Public Enemy, the Apollo Theater, the Black Panther Film Festival United Nations, American Museum of Natural History, Green Haven Correctional Facility,

Born in Uganda and raised in Harlem, NYC among Black Arts Movement activists, she embodies cultural exchange and transformation, going from rural and urban poverty to world stages, from dropout to magna cum laude graduate in Political Science. Her aggressively poetic rhymes meet soft vocals, visual thoughts and boundless artistic appetite. Performing over fifty shows annually as a youth with Oscar & Grammy nominated Impact Repertory Theatre, she has shared tracks and stages with the likes of Kool Keith, Nile Rodgers, DMC of Run DMC, M1 of Dead Prez, Delfeayo Marsalis and Patti Labelle.

In 2020, her self-directed and edited "Dear Corona" music video was selected by the World Health Organization x Create2030 for the "Solidarity Shows" virtual gallery of uplift during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her visual works have previously featured in the Bronx Art Space and Brooklyn University. She is award-winning in the famed "End of the Weak: MC Challenge. and in 2021 was named "Best of the U.S. Underground" by Hip Hop Golden Age for her work on "Nitty Gritty." She has featured in youth events and curated women-centered content for the Hip Hop Education Center.

In 2022 she was awarded "Female Artist of the Year" by Canada's 97.7 Outlaw Radio FM and laid the groundwork for her debut album, titled "Chocolate Bars." By 2024 she'd been contracted by several media tech corporations, become certified in financial services, mental health first aid, and an ambassador for the Silence the Shame organization. Her debut book was published by 4x NY Times bestseller Wahida Clark, titled "Y'all (Not) Gon' Make Me Lose My Mind: Notes from a Hip-Hop Unicorn & Suicide Survivor" with foreword written by Grammy Award-winning Hip-Hop icon Pharoahe Monch.
